Open Water Course
Day 1 – Pool Training – Weekends and Weekdays can be opted for – although weekdays do have a shorter ‘window’ due to squad swimming taking up all lanes in the pool after 3:30pm. Meeting point – Stones Corner, Brisbane, QLD. Look for – OWC Day 1 – Pool training timeframe
Day 2 – Cook Island Double Boat Dives – At current – available each weekend day, however with enough notice, can also run on weekdays – please liaise with Diver Di to confirm availability of vessel on your chosen day. Departure point – Tweed Heads South, NSW.
Day 3 – Shore Dives – Tweed River – At current we are diving the Tweed river mouth – utilising the incoming tide to practice drift diving, and then the static high tide for our second dive. Look for – OWC Day 3 – Morning or Afternoon Dive timeframe. – afternoons can be affected with poor traffic when returning to Brisbane after the dives on Sundays. Meeting point – Tweed Heads, NSW.
Day 4 – North Stradbroke Island/Moreton Bay Double Boat Dives – This boat trip runs once a weekend on Sundays plus an extra Saturday each month. Trips suitable to your training level will be around 3 of each 5 trips. Departure point – Manly, Brisbane. Look for – OWC Day 4 – Double Dive Moreton Bay/North Stradbroke Island
