For students looking to complete training, peruse the calendar below for instructor availability, and suitability of chosen dive days.

Open Water Course

Day 1 – Pool Training – At current, due to winter opening hours, our training pool is only open four hours on weekend days, so if you are looking to complete Day 1 of your Open Water Training Course, we will need two weekend days to cover all requirements, rather than just one. Weekdays are unaffected by winter hours, so only one day is required.  Meeting point – Stones Corner, Brisbane, QLD.

Day 2 – Cook Island Double Boat Dives – At current – available each weekend day, however with enough notice, can also run on weekdays – please liaise with Diver Di to confirm availability of vessel on your chosen day.  Departure point – Tweed Heads South, NSW.

Day 3 – Shore Dives – Tweed River or Southport Seaway- At current  we are diving the Tweed river mouth – utilising the incoming tide to practice drift diving, and then the static high tide for our second dive. Check the calendar for days listed as ‘Good Day for MORNING Shore Dive’  for best conditions. ‘Good Day for AFTERNOON Shore Dive’   is also possible – can be plagued with poor traffic when returning to Brisbane after the dives. Departure point – Tweed Heads, NSW.

Day 4 – North Stradbroke Island/Moreton Bay Double Boat Dives – This boat trip runs once a weekend, with suitable dive sites 2 of each 4 trips. Departure point – Manly, Brisbane.
